floralbox01

floralbox02 floralbox03
Floral Box

I couldn’t resist this pretty little floral box. It is not vintage but with its faded roses and gorgeous old green colour it looks very shabby chic. It’s hard to tell but I think it is papier mache.
It measures 23cm dia. x 7cm high.

Price:  £7.00 post & packing £2.50

goldframe01

goldframe02
Gorgeous Cream and Gold Painted Frame

This is an absolutely gorgeous cream & gold painted frame which has been skilfully distressed. For display purposes I have framed a fragment of vintage french fabric within a black mount…. It’s really scrummy.
Frame 22cm x 28cm. (12cm x 16cm aperture)

rosebowl01

rosebowl02 rosebowl03
Pretty Rose Bowl

Sorry this item is now sold

Here we have a Marks & Spencer bowl with attached up-stand. Around the rim are clusters of pretty pink roses, rosebuds and leaves. It is in very good condition but does have a few very tiny little nicks on the rose petals, in my view they are hardly noticeable and certainly doesn’t detract from its’ usefulness.
A pretty bowl for the vintage bathroom or bedroom to hold soaps or trinkets. 24cm Diam. x 12cm high.

memoboard01

memoboard02
Shabby Chic Memo Board

Notes trinkets or jewellery would look just wonderful displayed on this very shabby chic house shaped memo board. The frame is a pale bleached wood with a chicken wire panel to one side and I have used a delicate pretty floral vintage fabric to cover the other section and the apex. 3 lines of jute string holds tiny wooden pegs to attach your treasures.
I think this would look equally good in a rustic style kitchen holding the shopping list or a pretty vintage inspired bedroom displaying jewellery & treasures.
40cm wide x 67cm high to apex.

Country Prints

Sorry this item is now sold

I have had these 3 beautiful unframed prints for many years, and although we moved to our present house 5 years ago I have only just found them again. They are all by Alison Griffin and show country cottage interiors…. very much like my own.
 ‘Breakfast Time’ – Cream AGA, Deep sink & blue crockery.
 ‘Tea Time’ – Table laid for tea with sleeping black cat.
 ‘Garden Fresh’ – View through country kitchen door to flower filled garden.
They measure 51cm x 40cm inc. mount.

folkart01

folkart02
Folk Art Prints

I collected these 2 prints many years ago when I was passing through my ‘folk art’ period. I think they are very cheerful.
Both are by Martin Wiscombe.
 ‘On the farm’ shows a stone bridge alongside a typical folk art house with a solitary sheep on the hill… not a very well stocked farm is it?
 ‘The Meadows’ so that’s where all the sheep went – to the meadow!
They both measure 51cm x 41cm

rosesbedcover01

rosesbedcover02 rosesbedcover03
Roses Vintage Bedcover

I was attracted to this bedcover because of the lovely overblown roses and delicate green leaves, its’ luxurious feel and its vintage look.
When I bought it I was told it was a single cover, but as you can see it is displayed here on a double bed and it almost touches the floor on either side. I have no idea what the fabric is but it is silky & shiny, forgive me for this description but as you probably know by now fabric identification is not my strong point… but I do know it is very pretty, definitely vintage, and is in perfect condition.
Size 98” long x 90” wide. (249cm x 229cm)

Price:  £28.00 post & packing 3.00

Myottsbowl01

Myottsbowl02 Myottsbowl03 Myottsbowl04
Myotts Lidded Bowl

A pretty two handled lidded bowl which I believe to be ‘The Bouquet’ by Myotts Staffordshire. The backstamp reads Myotts Royal Crown Staffordshire England. It is in reasonably good condition for its age with only two small chips on the inside lip of the bowl, but cannot be seen when the lid is on (see photo). Otherwise there are no other chips or cracks.
This bowl would make a charming trinket pot for the vintage dressing table.

Price:  £6.00 post & packing £2.50

gravyboat01

gravyboat02
Gravy Boat with attached drip tray

What an awful title, I didn’t know how else to describe this pretty little piece, so please let the photographs explain it.
It is very pretty with pink yellow & blue flower sprigs on the bowl and the attached saucer.
There is some sort of backstamp mark on the base, but it is very faded – I think I can just make out the word ‘Bavaria’ & the No. 43 or 48 underneath. There are no chips cracks or crazing but the gilt rim is a little faded in places.
The length is 21cm & the height is 9cm to the top of the handle & spout.

Sorry this item is now sold

A charming ‘Fenton’ trio depicting pale violets on a fluted base with gold edging. In excellent condition without chips cracks or blemishes.
Backstamp reads English Bone China- Then a Crown stamp - Fenton China Company. Very pretty and delicate cup saucer & tea plate.

mintonbowls01

mintonbowls02 mintonbowls03
Two Minton Soup Bowls/ Tea Cups

The backstamp tells me that these were made sometime between c1912 – 1950. There is a faded date symbol which I think could be 1920.
I have not been able to trace the design, but as you can see it is a very oriental design.
They are both in excellent condition without cracks, chips or crazing. Although there is a small surface blemish on the rim of one of the bowls which is tiny.
Bowl is 10cm dia x 5.5cm high. Diam including handles 15cm.

‘Delphine’ China Plates by JH Middleton & Co 1889 – 1941

I was attracted to these 2 pretty plates as my mother’s name was Delphine.

22.5cm Diam.
The makers mark reads Delphine China Made in England below a crown.

Tapestry sewing box

Sorry this item is now sold

Here is a lovely vintage wicker sewing box of a very unusual shape. The body is mostly white with a cheerful coloured stripe in red/yellow/green. The top is a pretty tapestry pattern in green/plum/terracotta. The plastic covered handles, clasp and hinges are all in good condition. Inside is a lovely lilac colour with glass buttons attached to form the padded area. Several areas of wear, especially where cellotape has stained the satin fabric, also some beading has come loose. With new or repaired lining it could be as good as new. Size - 21cmx23cmx14cm

Smallstrawsewingbox02
Small straw sewing box

A lovely hexagonal straw sewing box in excellent condition inside and out. 3 straw flowers and leaves decorate the lid. Handles are intact and surprisingly so is the front catch with its’ original wooden toggle too. Inside is a deep red fabric with edging and bow to the inside lid. 15cm x 7cm

doily box

Vintage box of doilies

3 doilies in a lovely old box. 2 doilies are identical and I think are cream linen, the single one is a very intricate fine lace, but seems quite stiff, I’m sorry if the description is lacking but Lace is not my forte.
The old box is a delight though – Made by ‘Falcon’ boxes, of which I can’t find any information, it depicts colourfully dressed Father Christmas’s all holding presents, whilst cavorting around, what looks like, a statue of Eros! The lid has two tiny tears to the rim of just 1cm each.
Doilies 15cm. Dia. Box 15.5cm x 15.5cm

crinoline1

crinoline2 crinoline3 crinoline4
Crinoline ladies

Here we have a set of 3 of the most beautiful crinoline ladies.
The first demure miss is promenading under a rose arch, the second is picking flowers and the third is strolling along a garden path with a dovecote in the background. They are painstakingly stitched and are almost as perfect on the reverse side. The detail on the crinoline dresses is exquisite and the colour combinations are inspired.
 Rose Arch lady measures 20.5cm x 25.5cm (portrait)
 Flower picker lady measures 25.5cm x 20.5 (landscape)
 Garden path lady measures 25.5cm x 22cm (landscape)
There is the slightest hint of discolouration on all three, but this is hardly noticeable unless held up to strong light, and does not detract from their beauty.
When I acquired them they were in modern white frames, which I personally think didn’t do them justice… the frames are available if required FOC.

countryflowers

countryflowers2 countryflowers3
Embroidered country flowers linen tablecloth

Beautiful hand embroidered linen tablecloth in a pale ecru colour. Each corner of this gorgeous cloth is embroidered with a green woven basket of delicate daisy like flowers in pinks blues & lilacs. Towards the centre of the cloth are 4 more colourful images of daisies bullrushes hollyhocks and delphiniums. Unusually it has no stains or rust marks, although there is a faint shadow of the original blue transfer on one of the small central images, this hardly shown unless you really look closely. It has been carefully washed and is in excellent condition for its’ vintage years.
It measures a generous 44” square.

Price:  £8.00 post & packing £2.00

springflowers

springflowers2 springflowers3 springflowers4
Spring flowers embroidered white linen tablecloth

This is a very generous crisp & colourful vintage tablecloth. There are four large & four small beautifully embroidered images depicting colourful spring flower bunches & sprays. These include daffodils, tulips, pansies, crocus & primroses. It has been delicately washed but the process did not remove the 6 small very faint stains, perhaps someone with more knowledge could remove them. There is a tiny burn mark about the size of a match head (please see photo), otherwise the edging and overall condition is very good for its vintage years. Size 48” square (120cm)

Price:  £5.00 post & packing £2.50

hmsroyaloak

HMS Royal Oak embroidered silk cloth

This is a very unusual and historic cloth. It measures 30” square and I believe it to be of a very fine pale cream silk. Apart from the border it is completely unadorned except for one corner which has a delicate flower and leaf scroll embroidery in a soft cream, it reads HMS Royal Oak. The design measures 7” across x 5” deep and is exquisite, almost as perfect on the reverse too. It does have 2 very faint watermark blemishes on 2 of the corners, but in my opinion they are hardly noticeable.

I understand that HMS Royal Oak was the first battleship to be sunk in the II world war in 1939 at Scapa Flow, Scotland.
I would be interested to know if anyone has any idea of its origins.
