I have covered these two shades in a vintage fabric of tiny violet & lilac flowers on a white spot background. One has been embellished with a dusky pink velvet band & a vintage glass button, & the other with a lilac velvet ribbon, also with a vintage glass button.
The fitting is the clip over bulb attachment. 14cm H x 14cm bottom dia. x 8cm top dia.

A gorgeous pair of vintage country curtains in the timeless Sanderson ‘Little Chelsea’ design. Fully lined with a single heading tape. The curtains themselves are in near perfect condition, but there is a slight area of fraying to one end of a heading tape. (see photos please)

A pretty Royal ‘Crown Ducal’ cup, to which I have attached a scented candle in a glass votive. To the cup handle I have added a vintage piece of lace & a dusky pink pom pom.
I decided to adapt these cups as they have tiny chips to the rims and aren’t able to be used for tea. Nevertheless they make charming & useful candlesticks & look lovely placed on a table at a vintage style dinner party.

This is a beautiful example of an Empire Ware 3 sectioned trefoil dish. It is backstamped and dated 339 (which dates as March 1939)

2 of the 3 sections shows a flower filled garden with a central bird bath, the largest section shows a crinoline clad lady holding a posy and basket of flowers.

It has a pretty Art Deco handle and is in very good condition considering its’ age. It has no chips or cracks, but does have some crazing to the glaze. Measures 22.5cm

A charming 3 part set consisting of a pretty milk jug, sugar bowl, and side plate. All in excellent condition without cracks or chips.

A colourful border of flowers surrounds this charming house around which flies 3 little bluebirds. Above & below the central design is the saying –

I believe the frame to be oak. It is under glass but there are very tiny blemishes to the design, but these are minute and certainly does not detract from its’ overall charm.

This is a set of two plates by James Kent entitled ‘Old Foley’. The design shows pansies in lilac pink and yellow, the fluted edges are gilded and are in very good condition. There is very slight wear to the small pansy designs in the centre of the larger plate, but this is minute.

These plates are sometimes referred to as trinket dishes, pin dishes or even sandwich plates… you decide.

Baskstamp reads:- ‘Old Foley’ James Kent Staffordshire England.

I don’t think this set is of any great age as the covering is not glass but has a synthetic feel. The lovely little rose design seems to be printed on this material but underneath there is a delicate lace backing. The set comprises of a hand mirror, hair brush and clothes brush. There is slight tarnishing to the metal around the top of the handles of the hair brush & mirror.
A pretty rose design set which would surely enhance the vintage inspired dressing table.

It is stamped Made In England.

Another nostalgic item… a cottage teapot standing 13cm high x 20cm from spout to handle. No chips or cracks to the visible outside, but it does have chips to the interior edge of the cottage roof, which cannot be seen when the lid is in place, but would still make a charming kitchen display item.

It is impressed on the bottom – Ye Olde Cottage – Made In England

This is a butter dish to bring back some memories…. In the shape of a thatched cottage with roses around the door I’m sure we all can remember something similar on Grandmas dresser.
It is backstamped - Burlington Ware. J Shaw & Sons Limited –

It has no chips or cracks, but as expected for a dish of this era it does have some very minor signs of surface wear.

The dish measures 22.5cm x 18cm & the cottage on the dish stands at 11cm

Oh for a time in which we still used these lovely tactile shoe trees, or perhaps you still do! Now we have the horrid plastic monsters that we tend to hide away in the back of the shoe cupboard.

You would’nt want to hide this lovely pair of wooden trees away though as they are in very good condition & extremely decorative.

The numbers 51 & 1-3 are stamped on the underside and some initial lettering to the front instep surface.

Here we have a red & gold tin decorated on the lid with an abundant basket of roses.
In the tin I have included a tortoiseshell & chamois nail buffer, an elegant 1920/30s model of a young woman adjusting her hat, a tiny tin of Linguaphone Gramaphone Needles and a small round lovely green container, which I think is plastic & has a very Art Deco feel to it.

The tin measures 14cm x 10cm which I hope you will you some idea of scale for the other items.

According to the printing on this heavy duty waxed cardboard laundry box you will be charged 7/6 if the box is not returned to the BRAMLEY HYGIENIC LAUNDRY of BRAMLEY. It is constructed from very heavy duty board and the sides and corners have metal strengthening studs. The large wooden & bristle brush is included with the box.

This nostalgic box would make a useful storage container or just as a decorative piece.

It also boasts the original securing strap. It measures 43cm x 28cm x 13xm H.

I believe it to be early 1950’s.

Just imagine the dolls & teddies put gently to sleep in this charming little play cot. It has been lovingly used and does show some signs of wear & tear. Slight paint chipping to a few areas, which only enhances the very shabby chic look. The sides can be detached for storing. Although some of the original fixings have been lost they have been replaced by simple alternatives, which a child could handle easily.

The cot comes with the bedding included which is a stuffed cotton mattress, cotton sheet, red coverlet ^ pillow edged with tiny daisy style flowers.

Measures 20cm x 12cm x 17cm High.

This is a truly beautiful example of an ivory lustre cup & saucer which has a pretty pink sheen to the luster. Both the cup & saucer are decorated with roses, leaves & buds and are gold rimmed with a cut out design to the edge of the saucer. Unusually the cup has 3 gold feet which enhances its elegant lines. It has no cracks or chips, with only slight surface wear to the cup gilding.

This lovely wirework shelf & display rack would surely enhance the country kitchen. It is not old, although it is handmade. It has 5 securing loops &at each corner |and the top. The mesh back can also be used as a display board, simply use small pegs to attach notes, cards or reminders.

I have collected Kitchenalia for about 15 years and as we are hoping to be moving house within the next year I am gradually scaling down my collection.

The base of this lamp shows a girt & boy with arms entwined. Both are colourfully clothed and the young man holds a musical instrument, I think perhaps a violin.
Measures from base to top of fitting 26cm & the base width is 11cm.

The shade is for display purposes only as it is one of a pair, both are included in the home section of my catalogue. Other shades are available, please enquire for colours and styles, all my shades are vintage.

I hesitate to describe this large fluted bowl as Carnival Glass or Lustre Glass as I’m afraid glass is not my strong point. Nevertheless it is very pretty with its fluted wavy edge and leaf and daisy design to the inside.

The 4 bowls are not of the same pattern, but do match, in colouring, exactly.

This is such a pretty floral Chintz dish which I felt still had usefulness as a soap dish despite the fact that it does have 2 chips & a hairline crack to the underside of the bowl, which cannot be seen unless the dish is turned over. The overall busy floral design of chintz has a romantic timeless quality which I really love.

I have added a fragrant soap wrapped in a piece of delicate French fabric and tied with a dusky pink velvet bow.

I have used a fragment of vintage French fabric to cover this padded jewellery frame. The frame itself is painted cream with a bow & ribbon design to the top. It can be hung or has a back support for standing.

Dainty violet flowers green leaves & tiny tendrils of blossom decorate this lovely little bowl The design is very nostalgic & the rounded shape of the bowl is pleasing to the touch,
I have researched the markings, but alas cannot find anything of note. The letters MBL are within a brown circle along with a crown mark. Please let me know if you have any ideas on the maker.
It measures 8.5cm H x 12cm across top rim. It is in very good condition for its obvious age.

A Potter friend tells me this set is porcelain & was probably made in Italy in the early 1950’s, although it is marked Czechoslavakia & the design name is ‘Bernadetta.’
It is a very bright glitzy gold with a vignette of 2 lovers in a romantic pose.
The set includes – Coffee Pot, Milk Jug, Sugar Basin, & 6 coffee cups and saucers, the condition is very good apart from very slight wear to the gold on the saucers.
This really is a BLING vintage set which would certainly make an eye catching display.
The set comes in a very usable vintage basket which has a distressed area to the top of the handle where the rattan has worked loose.

Fascinating Rhythm – Dance tunes from between the wars and the stars who made them magical, is an entertaining yet comprehensive study of popular song from the 1920’s and 30’s by Peter Cliffe. It is lavishly illustrated & meticulously researched. From a nostalgic time when a gramophone and a pile of records were quite essential items in most homes.

A charming oil painting on an old Rowney board showing a snowy winter scene. It is signed F.L. CHEGWYN, who I believe to be an Irish artist 1900 – 1948. It is beautifully framed in an elegant gilt frame, which does have some damage to the decoration in the bottom right corner (please see photos).

I couldn’t resist this pretty little floral box. It is not vintage but with its faded roses and gorgeous old green colour it looks very shabby chic. It’s hard to tell but I think it is papier mache.

This is an absolutely gorgeous cream & gold painted frame which has been skilfully distressed. For display purposes I have framed a fragment of vintage french fabric within a black mount…. It’s really scrummy.

I collected these 2 prints many years ago when I was passing through my ‘folk art’ period. I think they are very cheerful.
Both are by Martin Wiscombe.
 ‘On the farm’ shows a stone bridge alongside a typical folk art house with a solitary sheep on the hill… not a very well stocked farm is it?
 ‘The Meadows’ so that’s where all the sheep went – to the meadow!

(1990) Designers Guild fabric in truly vibrant colours. Large enough for curtains, a blind, cushions or perhaps a craft project. It is new & in perfect condition.

A pretty two handled lidded bowl which I believe to be ‘The Bouquet’ by Myotts Staffordshire. The backstamp reads Myotts Royal Crown Staffordshire England. It is in reasonably good condition for its age with only two small chips on the inside lip of the bowl, but cannot be seen when the lid is on (see photo). Otherwise there are no other chips or cracks.
This bowl would make a charming trinket pot for the vintage dressing table.

The backstamp tells me that these were made sometime between c1912 – 1950. There is a faded date symbol which I think could be 1920.
I have not been able to trace the design, but as you can see it is a very oriental design.
They are both in excellent condition without cracks, chips or crazing. Although there is a small surface blemish on the rim of one of the bowls which is tiny.
Bowl is 10cm dia x 5.5cm high. Diam including handles 15cm.

I was attracted to these 2 pretty plates as my mother’s name was Delphine.
There is a hand painted design around the edge in a lovely duck egg blue colour, also yellow flowers with orange centres, green leaves and a continuous leafy scroll.
22.5cm Diam.
The makers mark reads Delphine China Made in England below a crown.
This mark is registered C1930 – 1941
