A colourful border of flowers surrounds this charming house around which flies 3 little bluebirds. Above & below the central design is the saying –

I believe the frame to be oak. It is under glass but there are very tiny blemishes to the design, but these are minute and certainly does not detract from its’ overall charm.

This is a set of two plates by James Kent entitled ‘Old Foley’. The design shows pansies in lilac pink and yellow, the fluted edges are gilded and are in very good condition. There is very slight wear to the small pansy designs in the centre of the larger plate, but this is minute.

These plates are sometimes referred to as trinket dishes, pin dishes or even sandwich plates… you decide.

I don’t think this set is of any great age as the covering is not glass but has a synthetic feel. The lovely little rose design seems to be printed on this material but underneath there is a delicate lace backing. The set comprises of a hand mirror, hair brush and clothes brush. There is slight tarnishing to the metal around the top of the handles of the hair brush & mirror.
A pretty rose design set which would surely enhance the vintage inspired dressing table.

It is stamped Made In England.

Another nostalgic item… a cottage teapot standing 13cm high x 20cm from spout to handle. No chips or cracks to the visible outside, but it does have chips to the interior edge of the cottage roof, which cannot be seen when the lid is in place, but would still make a charming kitchen display item.

It is impressed on the bottom – Ye Olde Cottage – Made In England

This is a butter dish to bring back some memories…. In the shape of a thatched cottage with roses around the door I’m sure we all can remember something similar on Grandmas dresser.
It is backstamped - Burlington Ware. J Shaw & Sons Limited –

It has no chips or cracks, but as expected for a dish of this era it does have some very minor signs of surface wear.

The dish measures 22.5cm x 18cm & the cottage on the dish stands at 11cm

Oh for a time in which we still used these lovely tactile shoe trees, or perhaps you still do! Now we have the horrid plastic monsters that we tend to hide away in the back of the shoe cupboard.

You would’nt want to hide this lovely pair of wooden trees away though as they are in very good condition & extremely decorative.

The numbers 51 & 1-3 are stamped on the underside and some initial lettering to the front instep surface.

Just imagine the dolls & teddies put gently to sleep in this charming little play cot. It has been lovingly used and does show some signs of wear & tear. Slight paint chipping to a few areas, which only enhances the very shabby chic look. The sides can be detached for storing. Although some of the original fixings have been lost they have been replaced by simple alternatives, which a child could handle easily.

The cot comes with the bedding included which is a stuffed cotton mattress, cotton sheet, red coverlet ^ pillow edged with tiny daisy style flowers.

Measures 20cm x 12cm x 17cm High.

This is a truly beautiful example of an ivory lustre cup & saucer which has a pretty pink sheen to the luster. Both the cup & saucer are decorated with roses, leaves & buds and are gold rimmed with a cut out design to the edge of the saucer. Unusually the cup has 3 gold feet which enhances its elegant lines. It has no cracks or chips, with only slight surface wear to the cup gilding.

This item can be gift boxed if requested.

The base of this lamp shows a girt & boy with arms entwined. Both are colourfully clothed and the young man holds a musical instrument, I think perhaps a violin.
Measures from base to top of fitting 26cm & the base width is 11cm.

The shade is for display purposes only as it is one of a pair, both are included in the home section of my catalogue. Other shades are available, please enquire for colours and styles, all my shades are vintage.

I hesitate to describe this large fluted bowl as Carnival Glass or Lustre Glass as I’m afraid glass is not my strong point. Nevertheless it is very pretty with its fluted wavy edge and leaf and daisy design to the inside.

The 4 bowls are not of the same pattern, but do match, in colouring, exactly.

A pair of gorgeous ochre coloured fringed vintage shades which I have adorned with bands of fine old cream lace. The lace is held in place with two sparkly vintage Art Deco scarf clips. The fittings for these lovely shades are the clip over the bulb fitting. 14cm H
